02Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you email us, call us, or use a contact link on this site, we receive your name, email address, telephone number, employer, and whatever else you choose to include in your message. If you request research or ask to join a distribution list, we record that request and the address you gave us.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server log data when a page is served: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages requested, and date and time. This is used to operate and secure the site, and to understand aggregate traffic patterns.
Information from engagements
In the course of an advisory engagement we receive information about clients and their representatives, and may receive personal information relating to principals, guarantors and other individuals connected with a transaction. We handle that information under the terms of the relevant engagement agreement and confidentiality undertakings, and this policy applies to it in addition.

We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and correspond with you
- Provide research, briefings and market commentary you have asked for
- Perform, administer and document advisory engagements
- Carry out know-your-client, anti-money-laundering, sanctions and conflicts checks where required
- Operate, secure and improve this website
- Comply with legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and marketing a professional advisory business and securing our systems; compliance with legal obligations; and, where applicable, your consent — which you may withdraw at any time.
04Marketing and Your Choices
We send research and market commentary only to people who asked for it or who have an existing professional relationship with the firm. Every such message includes a means of unsubscribing, and you can opt out at any time by emailing asklavenitis@satoricp.com. We will act on the request promptly. We may still contact you about a live engagement after you opt out of marketing.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
05Sharing
We disclose personal information only as follows:
- Service providers — email, file storage, website hosting and similar infrastructure, acting on our instructions under contract
- Transaction participants — lenders, investors, counsel and other advisers, where disclosure is necessary to perform an engagement and permitted by the client
- Professional advisers — our own legal, accounting and insurance advisers
- Authorities — where required by law, regulation, subpoena or court order, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims
- A successor — in connection with a merger, acquisition or transfer of the business, subject to this policy
06Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and thereafter as required to meet legal, regulatory, tax and record-keeping obligations or to resolve disputes. Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement is retained for a shorter period and then deleted.
07Security
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the size of the firm and the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access controls, encrypted transmission of this website, and multi-factor authentication on business systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information — government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information — by unencrypted email.
08Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you; to have it corrected or deleted; to restrict or object to how we use it; to receive it in a portable format; and to withdraw consent. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Residents of California, and residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy statutes, have rights under those laws including the right to know what is collected and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act.

We are based in the United States and our service providers are principally located there. This website is directed to professional and institutional audiences. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
